The ASC Quality Collaboration exhibited at the ASCA + SAMBA Conference & Expo, held May 13–16, 2026, at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland. Executive Director Nina Goins and Assistant Executive Director Becky Ziegler-Otis represented ASCQC at Booth 515, where much of the conversation centered on the ASC Safety & Quality Assessment — the free annual benchmarking tool that helps surgery centers evaluate performance, benchmark against peers, and demonstrate their commitment to safe, high-quality care.
The conference also featured presentations from Becky. On Thursday, May 14, she led a session titled “The ASC Quality Journey: Turning Requirements Into Results,” offering practical guidance on translating quality requirements into meaningful improvement at the center level. On Friday, May 15, she joined a panel discussion, “Work Smarter, Not Harder: Using AI in Your ASC,” alongside Melanie Howitt of in2itive Business Solutions and Patrick Leyshock, PhD, of Providence Health and Services.
Booth visitors were also entered to win an essential tech folio.
The 2026 ASC Safety & Quality Assessment submission window is open through June 15. If you haven’t already, complete the assessment at ascquality.org/asc-safety-quality-assessment.
